History
In late 2006 several private equity professionals began to explore forming a networking group to foster the continued development of the private equity community within the DC metropolitan area. Early in the formation process, it became clear that there was a strong common interest among the group to have the nexus of this new entity be a charitable organization. As many in the Capital for Children organization are parents, it was quickly determined that children would be the focus of the groups efforts. The organization believed that they could bring the passion, expertise and resources to make a difference for the children in the DC metropolitan area. |
